Description
#020 – In today’s episode, I will be answering two listener questions. I love this kind of episode because I know I’m giving you what you want since you asked for it 🙂
The first question I will be answering is “Should you play it safe and take a hospital job with less money that is not work from home or stay with a temporary to a permanent position that is work from home and pays better?”
The second question is, “Are there any flexible positions that you can work from wherever you are, like from a laptop or in the mountains with satellite internet.”

Hi Deanna. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions and doing a podcast on this subject. I was the “Amber” in the first part of the podcast. Unfortunately, I ended up going the “stable ” route and took the hospital job. I wish I had this podcast before making a decision because I probably would have kept the health plan work from home position. I really feel like I’ve made a huge mistake by leaving the work from home job because of the rise in covid-19 cases and the hospital CM job is very inflexible and now that the country has reopened, I’m battling a lot of traffic. I am thankful though that I have a job. I just wished I kept the work from home position. Anyway, just wanted to thank you again for taking the time to answer my question and wanted to provide an update on what I had decided.
@”Amber”
Thank you for the update. It’s hard to know which decision is best. Hindsight is always 20/20! But there really is no mistake. You have a job and you are gaining valuable experience. You are also making more connections.
If you are ultimately looking for a WFH job, reach out to the company and keep in contact with as many people as possible. Let them know that you enjoyed working for them during your contract, and only left for a permanent position. Let them know you would love to work for them again in a permanent capacity when there is an opening. Then follow up every couple of months.
Keep moving forward!
